EAR INJURY

Earache

  • DO NOT use oil or ear drops.
  • Cotton may be placed at the opening of the to keep cold air out and may reduce pain. ear (DO NOT PACK INTO EAR CANAL).
  • If pain persists, notify parents and school nurse.
Drainage
  • Treat as noted above.
Bleeding
  • Usually associated with injury.
  • Call 911 or local emergency response team.
  • Notify parents and school nurse.
Object in the Ear
  • DO NOT probe with any instrument.
  • All objects should be removed by a physician.
  • Notify parents and school nurse.
  • Call 911 or local emergency response team.

SPRAINS / FRACTURES / DISLOCATIONS POISONS
SEIZURES - CHOKING
